I’m Valentina Wilson, a Chilean illustrator and visual artist based in Barcelona. My work lives somewhere between graphic control and emotional mess, and I’m happy keeping it there. I mainly work with portraiture as a way to explore identity, emotion and contemporary narratives, with a soft spot for women who inspire me. I’m deeply influenced by music and cinema, and I often use symbolism and visual metaphors rather than literal answers. I like images that suggest, pause, or slightly disrupt the reading experience. I’m especially drawn to editorial and cultural projects where illustration works in conversation with text, adding mood, subtext or a different layer of meaning instead of simply describing what’s already there. I work across editorial illustration, murals and personal projects, and I’m interested in collaborations that value narrative thinking, strong visual voices and a clear point of view.
