a UK-based production music library,
They asked me to create the artwork for an indie rock album.
The brief was to illustrate a male and female musician playing guitar,
capturing the energy and attitude of bands such as
The White Stripes, Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C. and Amyl and the Sniffers.
Starting from a series of rough sketches, the artwork developed through an ongoing dialogue around composition, character, styling and colour. The final illustration combines a raw, expressive energy with a limited colour palette, organic abstract shapes and a visual language inspired by the rhythm and intensity of the music.
The artwork was created in both A3 poster and square formats for the album cover and promotional use.
